Engineers in action!

Energy for Change were very impressed with our information texts explaining ‘how windmills work’ So they challenged our team of engineers to make an electrical circuit. Here are some of our resilient investigators experimenting with building their circuits.

Electrical Circuits

As part of our Mantle this term, Aderyn Du have been exploring how to make circuits, and what is needed to make a light bulb work. We are then going to use this knowledge to create a video for our ‘Curiosity Channel.’

Fun with algebra!!

This weekโ€™s Maths has been about algebra, which can be a tricky concept to understand. Everyone is showing great perseverance with it and we have enjoyed the carousel of activities.

Cerdyn Post

Emyr from Menter Iaith has been in to work with us on an exciting new project which will encourage the use of Welsh in a fun and collaborative way through a modern โ€˜pen-palโ€™.

Boomwhackers

Children in year 2 have been enjoying using the boomwhackers. Boomwhackers can improve cognitive skills such as focus, concentration, and memory. Keeping track of different notes, patterns, and melodies strengthens the childrens mental agility and enhances their overall cognitive abilities. They are also really good fun and sounded great!

Kerbcraft

Here are some of the children enjoying their Kerbcraft sessions with Powys Road Safety. Many thanks to Sue Davies and Emma Darling for volunteering.
