The children thought about different emotions and how these might look. They thought about how refugees might feel in different situations and how they might look.

Play Adverts and Trailers
The children created a story board and used this as a plan for an advert to advertise their up coming play. We then filmed the adverts. They also worked in groups to produce a trailer about the play. Have a look on your child’s HWB – J2E – Shared folder, to see what they have been up to!

Mr and Mrs Clarke worked with Cnoc-y-coed to develop and try out different potions who George (from our focus book) might like to make.

Storytelling with Peter and Sharon
Forest School
Great work by all the year 3 children that attended our Forest School session today. It was a challenge finding dry fuel for our fire, but the children were an absolute credit and worked well as a team to ensure we had a healthy treat at the end of the session. Da iawn!
Fire Engine
Thank you to Knighton Fire Brigade who kindly brought their fire engine to the school. The children had a fabulous time exploring the equipment.
A Visit from Knighton Fire Crew
A MASSIVE thank you to Knighton Fire Service who visited us today to help us understand the role of a Firefighter. We had an in-depth look into the Fire Engine and learned about the equipment and what the Firefighters use the equipment for. They told us that they don’t only put out fires, but rescue people and animals too. We also saw how far the water can squirt out of the hose! It went a very long way. We had a great afternoon!!
