Today we watched an ‘extra’ from the film ‘Bend it Like Beckham’. The director of the film was making Aloo Gobi with her family. We used this to make our own Aloo Gobi, chapati and cucumber raita with Mrs Strong and Miss Jeakings. The class worked really well with the ingredients and utensils, and almost every bit of the food was devoured.

The children demonstrated amazing sportsmanship; clapping, cheering and congratulating for one another. The delicious ice-creams went down a treat too…. yummy!!
This afternoon was a wonderful afternoon of fun, sport and ice cream! The children had a great time and it was so nice to see their sportsmanship shining through! Well done to everyone…….and Mrs Blower for winning the teacher’s race!
We have used natural materials from around the school grounds to make mud faces and birds nests. We used twigs, moss, dried grass and leaves to make the nests. We thought carefully about the materials we could use to make comfortable nests.
We thoroughly enjoyed our sports afternoon on Wednesday! The children in Y5 and Y6 organised the event themselves. The ice-creams were a real treat- thank you to Friends of School for providing the funds to buy them!
