We thought about what we could do with the apples on the school apple tree. We decided to make apple crumble. We weighed, measured, rubbed and chopped. It was yummy!

Pyjama Drama
Hwyaid Bach had loads of fun on Thursday when Pyjama Drama came to visit! The children pretended that they were on an alien planet which was very messy and had lots of litter on it. They acted out a variety of different tasks such as picking up the litter to make the alien planet beautiful again.

We had a fantastic hour with Emily, learning new dance moves and creating our own. We loved using the scarves when dancing!
Diwrnod Shwmae Su’mae
Pupils in year 5/6 enjoyed using their Welsh language throughout the day and creating a ‘Shwmae Su’mae’ doodle.
Music Makers!
Children in Gwennol and Jac Y Do were commissioned to make music using everyday items. The children worked in groups for their compositions. Some groups used items from around the classroom and put them to a different use, whilst other groups used junk materials to make their own instruments. Enterprising, creative contributors.
Shwmae Shwmae!
Children enjoyed using their Welsh language skills to practise their colours and using their incidental Welsh when asking for things during their colouring sessions. They also were able to follow a recipe in Welsh to make some delicious honey flapjacks! Bendigedig! Ambitious, capable learners.
Pyjama Drama
Dosbarth Gwennol welcomed Louise from Pyjama Drama on Friday. Louise worked with the class to create a drama about meeting an alien and helping him clean up our planet. Ethical, informed citizens
Math challenge activity
Children in Year 5/6 were given the task of creating a 2D shape related board game for others to use. All children involved enjoyed the challenge, showing their creativity and excellent collaboration.
Year 5/6 Hockey Tournament.
The children had a great time at the hockey tournament in Llandrindod Wells. They showed excellent sportsmanship and played extremely well.
