SCHOOL COUNCIL 2024-2025

We held our first meeting of the year today and discussed what we wanted to improve about our school, how we could raise money for resources that we would like and which charity we wanted to support.  We chose the RNLI because a local company (Clayton Engineering), where some of our parents work, make the lifeboats that are then sent out and used all over the UK by the RNLI volunteers to rescue people.

We also voted for our new Chair and Vice Chair of School Council:-

Annie, supported by George, will take the position of Chair

Honey, supported by Frankie, will take the position of Vice Chair

Well done everyone for a very productive meeting!  Our first event will be next Friday 27th September when we will be hosting a cake sale at break time to raise money for the RNLI!

E-Safety Council 2024/25

This morning we held our first E-Safety council meeting of the year. We checked that classes had signed and displayed their Acceptable Use Agreements and we discussed apps that children use. We had a quiz on the age restrictions of apps that children use outside of school.

Hand Puppets\Pypedau LLaw

Following the story of Pinocchio, we have started to investigate puppets. The children made a puppet of themselves. Some chose to make stick puppets, some hand puppets and some finger puppets.

Bake Off!

Barcud Coch decided they wanted to spend their end-of-term treat money on ingredients for a Bake Off. We went shopping on Monday for the ingredients of 6 different bakes, on Wednesday pupils worked independently in their groups to bake and on Friday they were sampled and enjoyed with a film!
Which do you think looked best?

The most popular were the brownies, cheesecake and cookies!!! Roedd y cacennau yn flasus iawn!

The Hunger Games Leavers Style

Today the Year 6s enjoyed their idea of the Hunger Games, brought to life to Mr Evans-Williams! Dens were built, opponents chosen and battles were won and lost! Cawson nhw hwyl!
