Week Beginning 11th January 2021

Here we go again!

Please find below links to this week’s Maths and Literacy/Iaith planning.

It has been lovely speaking to the children during our daily check-ins. If your child hasn’t accessed these yet, please do so. Your child has been emailed the link to their school Hwb email account. Logging in details, were sent home with the children, in their packs before the holidays. They are inside the cover of the green book.

For children who are currently not in school, you can access the home learning on Hwb (Miss Lowe’s and Mrs Warner’s Folder) and via the links below. We will be setting Maths and Iaith/Literacy planning each week, alongside a selection of other curriculum activities. We will give your child guidance about the activities during the check-ins. Next week,  we will post some videos about phonics and spellings.

PE

This week we would like you to complete a Joe Wicks workout, either a live session or choose an old workout and have a go at that please!  Try to upload a photo onto Teams or you can email evidence to us!  We will also be having a go in school!

‘Joe Wicks is restarting his online PE lessons, to help families keep fit during lockdown.’

The personal trainer told the BBC he wanted to, “Give children structure,” and help them feel, “more optimistic”.

He said that live sessions would run on his YouTube channel at 09:00 GMT on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

We also recommend that your child follows the ‘Cosmic Yoga’ sessions on Youtube. They are excellent, calm the mind and destress the body. Link below!

Oxford Owl E-books

Please follow the weblink below to access a selection of reading books online.

http://www.oxfordowl.co.uk

You may need to create an account, but this is all free.  Select the ‘e-books’ tab, then ‘oxford owl e-book library’. Take a look at the stage your child is currently reading by looking on the back of the book. Select the same stage from the options available.

This website has a lovely selection of activities and resources available, so take a look around and enjoy exploring.

Lesson introductions for Maths

I’m hoping to do live introductions for the Maths lessons. I’ve scheduled it for 9.40 Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays- they should appear on the calendar on your child’s Teams calendar.

Don’t worry if you can’t be online at that time, we will try to upload a video of it to Hwb (shared files) and to the Files in Teams. Our video was too large to upload today, we will try a shorter one tomorrow!

Thanks,

Miss Jones

Maths planning and resources for the week beginning 4th January

Hi everyone! Hope you’ve all had a lovely Christmas and New Year! It was certainly very different for most of you I’m sure.

Here is the planning and resources for maths this week. As usual we would like you to send evidence of your work to us preferably via email or on our Teams chat.

You can share your ideas or ask any questions you might have during our daily check ins. These are though Teams. They are scheduled 3 times a day but we would only want you to drop into one per day. Please let us know if you are having trouble with accessing them and we will do our best to get you on them as soon as we can.
