Children from all year groups enjoyed the start to World Book Day by sharing a story.

After a snowy start and our visit to the Church postponed, we were thrilled that Rev. Petra was able to join us in school and lead our Ash Wednesday Collective Worship.

Rev. Petra explained that Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent – six weeks of preparing for Easter. Lent is a fast – a time of eating less well, and praying more. It’s also a time of thinking about all the things that human beings get wrong and a time to reflect on their choices.

We have been finding out about how Knighton has changed over the years.  We enjoyed visiting the Knighton Museum this morning to find out more about these changes.  We particularly liked looking at the slate boards and the wooden desks that were used in Victorian Schools and the musical instruments from the past.

We have worked ever so hard to code a message, image and temperature. We have had to write the code exactly right. We came across a few problems, we worked as a group to overcome these.

Team Lego have just submitted their code that will now be played on the International Space Station.

Many thanks to parents and member of the community that joined us today for our annual carol singing around the tree.
