We enjoyed making pancakes whilst investigating fractions. We cut our pancakes into halves and quarters.
Many thanks to Mrs Wood and Mrs Evans for spending the afternoon cooking the delicious pancakes!

This week we have been map making. We made a physical map of our classroom showing the furniture and different features of the class. We used a range of materials to represent the features.
Dosbarth Gwennol enjoyed their visit to Knighton Museum on Wednesday 5th February. We handled lots of interesting artefacts and we found out how much Knighton has changed over the years.
We have completed a range of exciting and engaging activities as part of our ‘Safer Internet Day’.
We started off the day discussing ‘identity’ and completing an activity about our identity and the things that make us special and unique.
We welcomed PC Ainsworth who talked to us about online safety.
We read an interesting story called ‘Digiduck’s Famous Friend’ which demonstrated in a safe and interesting way, that people online may not always be who they say they are, and that ‘friends’ made solely online are still strangers.
We also we talked about online activities that make pupils happy.
The pigeon from New York is worried about his relatives in Wales. He has heard that it is Winter and he is worried that they won’t have enough food to eat. He needed our help to make bird feeders to hang outside so that his Welsh friends and relatives would have enough food to eat.
We used our reading skills to read and follow instructions to make our bird feeders and we have hung them outside in the playground.
