Dydd Gwyl Dewi Hapus!

As part of our Eisteddfod, we enjoyed a ’round robin’ of activities. Here are some of the children creating 2-d and 3d artwork using natural resources capturing our ‘cynefin’.

Caerdydd 2025!

Year 6 enjoyed a busy 3 days exploring Cardiff and some surrounding areas. We learned about some of the history of Wales, about our parliament and had some fun down on the bay too! Diolch to all of our hosts and to our Friends of School and The Blakemore Foundation who both made contributions towards our school trip.

Dydd Santes Dwynwen Hapus

Some of our Year 6 pupils gave out some origami hearts (calon) to our parents to wish them a โ€˜Dydd Santes Dwynwen Hapusโ€™.

St Davidโ€™s Day celebration practise

Today Judith volunteered her time to help some of our pupils who will be helping to celebrate St Davidโ€™s day in the community on Sunday 2nd March. They learned a song and began a Twmpath to the tune of โ€˜Mi welais Jac y doโ€™. They were fantastic, da iawn bawb!

Dydd Santes Dwynwen

We have been listening to the story of Santes Dwynwen. We made some origami hearts to spread the love. We watched the video on mute and had the instructions in Welshโ€ฆ!

Cwis Dim Clem

Today we took part in the Cwis Dim Clem. We were the third of 27 schools to take part. We will have to wait to find out if we have got through to the next round.

We had 2 winning teams. If our score of 30/40 is high enough, 4 out 5 of them will represent Knighton in the next round!

Enillwyr Tocynnau Cymraeg

Congratulations to our Welsh badge winners last week. You have been using lots of incidental Welsh inside and outside of the classroom. Bendigedig pawb!!
