Today we held our first E-safety council meeting. We had some super discussion about helping parents/carers to keep us safe online. We are planning to send out a newsletter soon!
Dosbarth Gwennol are helping Captain Green clear up rubbish so they took part in a litter pick on the school grounds!
Last week we welcomed the Open the book team bac k into our school for our collective worship sessions. With the help of some year 2 pupils they retold the story of ‘the road to Damascus’
We have been looking at the work of Welsh artist, Jeremy Thomas, and have produced our own work based on his theme, ‘The Human One’-As ‘Artist in Residence’ at St Mary’s Priory he has been working on a series of thirty oil paintings that illustrate the Life, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. We will post our work up here when it is finished for you to look at!

Yesterday we welcomed John Meredith back to our school to work with children in years 1,5 and 6. He worked with children on two activities; discussing religious values and ethics through art and creating a video depicting the Creation Story.

We recently applied for and received 2 apple trees and 2 pear trees, from The Conservation Volunteers. We planted them on Friday!
It was interesting digging the hole; there were so many discussions about how to hold the spade, what to do with your feet, is the hole big enough? Hopefully we’ve done the job correctly!
Whilst we were on the field some children collected litter from hedgerows and gather broken equipment. We also measured the fence lines that hadn’t got hedgerows…that might be our next project!!
