Gingerbread People

Today, as a Christmas treat, the children chose to decorate a gingerbread person. We are looking forward to eating them later. Yum Yum!

Christingle

Well done to our Worship Council who joined Mike and Rev. Rachael to lead our Christingle service in church last week.

Road Safety

Rob, a road safety officer from Powys, visited us today. He talked about how to be safe on the road, covering aspects such as seat belts, booster seats, cycling, helmets etc. The class were great, asking thoughtful questions and evaluating choices they have made themselves.

Mr Phormula

Barcud Coch were transfixed on Mr Phormula and his beat-boxing skills. He showed us how to make different sounds with our mouths and bodies. He then demonstrated how he uses being bilingual to help him be different from other performers. We then worked together to write our own verse for a school rap, using English and Welsh. Roedd eโ€™n hwyl!

Cottage View Visit

Year One pupils visited Cottage View at Knighton Hospital and sang Christmas songs to their residents. We sang beautifully and the residents loved our performance. Da iawn pawb!

Christmas Preparations/Paratoi ar gyfer y Nadolig

It has been a very busy few weeks in Dosbarth Eryr, rehearsing our wonderful Nativity, making items to sell at the Christmas Fayre, making Christingles in preparation for our Christingle service in the Church. Christmas jumper Day saw us raising money for the Air Ambulance. Nadolig Llawen!

Christmas Fayre

Year 6 enjoyed hosting a stall at the Fayre on Friday. They have worked hard to not only create products to sell but also to complete costing activities using Microsoft Excel and formulas to keep track of the finances.
