Sphero Coding!
In DCF, we have started looking at coding. We used Sphero Bots and programmed them using our coding knowledge to stay within the tracks. We had lots of fun!
Eco Assembly
Tom from the Community Centre kindly came into talk to the children about growing their own vegetables. We are hopefully going to start planting our own vegetables at school, working with Tom. The Eco Council then took Tom for a tour around the school, looking at potential spaces to create a planting patch.

Spellings – Spellings are in the purple book. Please use this as an opportunity to practise your handwriting by using the spelling words in a correctly punctuated sentence.
Evacuee Assembly
We enjoyed dressing up and celebrating all of the fantastic work that we have done this term relating to our Mantle of the Expert theme of Journeys. The children performed great on stage, and should be proud of their efforts! Da iawn pawb!
Cross Country!
Some of the children in Years 3,4,5&6 went to a cross country competition at Bedstone. The children showed great determination as the course was tough but came away with some great results. Da Iawn!
Life in 1940s!!!
We had a special visit from Julie and Laura from Knighton Museum. They bought a variety of artefacts from the 1940’s for the children to look at. The children had great fun, and it reminded them of what life used to be like years ago.
Research!!!
We have enjoyed researching about the war and evacuees! The children are very interested and eager to learn more.
Health and Wellbeing Day!
As part of Health and Wellbeing Day, Dosbarth Jac Y Do and Dosbarth Gwennol enjoyed relaxing to some yoga, and completing mindfulness clouds about what makes them happy. 🙂 Healthy, confident individuals.
DANCE!
Jac Y Do children enjoyed a dance workshop with Emily George this week. They were able to create their own dance routine. Lots of fun was had by all children!
