We hope you had a lovely and restful half-term.

Changes to check-ins

Due to the majority of the children being in class, it has been necessary to make some changes to the daily check-ins. We hope you understand.

There will be no check-in on Monday 22nd February. They will resume on Tuesday 23rd February at 9:30 am with Mrs Mortimer. Miss Lowe and Mrs Warner will have a joint check-in every Wednesday at 12:30 pm.

Once again, we have included a weekly timetable and most of the lessons have links from this.  You will need to click on the home learning timetable link and then click on the blue links on the timetable.

Iaith and Maths continue to have separate planning.

We are always here to help. Please do not hesitate to contact us via email or call the school if you have a query or would like to discuss your child.

Week Beginning 11th January 2021

Here we go again!

Please find below links to this week’s Maths and Literacy/Iaith planning.

It has been lovely speaking to the children during our daily check-ins. If your child hasn’t accessed these yet, please do so. Your child has been emailed the link to their school Hwb email account. Logging in details, were sent home with the children, in their packs before the holidays. They are inside the cover of the green book.

For children who are currently not in school, you can access the home learning on Hwb (Miss Lowe’s and Mrs Warner’s Folder) and via the links below. We will be setting Maths and Iaith/Literacy planning each week, alongside a selection of other curriculum activities. We will give your child guidance about the activities during the check-ins. Next week,  we will post some videos about phonics and spellings.

This week we would like you to complete a Joe Wicks workout, either a live session or choose an old workout and have a go at that please!  Try to upload a photo onto Teams or you can email evidence to us!  We will also be having a go in school!

‘Joe Wicks is restarting his online PE lessons, to help families keep fit during lockdown.’

The personal trainer told the BBC he wanted to, “Give children structure,” and help them feel, “more optimistic”.

He said that live sessions would run on his YouTube channel at 09:00 GMT on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

We also recommend that your child follows the ‘Cosmic Yoga’ sessions on Youtube. They are excellent, calm the mind and destress the body. Link below!

Mud, Mud everywhere!

The children have been writing some amazing instructions about their magical cloaks and shoes. They had some wonderful ideas. In maths, we have been exploring larger numbers and looking at doubling and halving numbers. You will have all noticed that the mud kitchen is a real hit. Homemade mud and stone soup is definitely our favourite!
