Dina came to visit us!

Today, we were very lucky to have a visit from Dina. She is a headteacher from a school called Dina School. She was very impressed with how well we all behaved and asked Miss Davies to give us all a sticker!

One of her pupils called Wally is coming to visit us next week and we are very excited!

Butterfly Symmetry

We listened carefully to the meaning of the word symmetry. Then we discussed the different shapes and made our very own stained-glass window symmetrical butterflies.

Bug Hotels

The butterfly from the story of ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ was very impressed with our investigation skills from last week. He really liked our idea of making bug hotels for the minibeasts to live safely in, in our outdoor area.

We are very excited to see what minibeasts decide to live in our bug hotels.

Look at our amazing Bug Hotels…..

Minibeast Hunt

We put our exploring hats on and went on a minibeast hunt in our quad and school field. We found out where different minibeasts live and enjoyed exploring their micro-habitats.

Chicks

We love spending time with the chicks. We are very gentle and quiet when they are out in our classroom,

The eggs are in!!

Today, we have put some Hen eggs in the incubator. We have to wait patiently for 21 days to see what surprises are in store!

Quad Refresh

We have been very lucky this week to receive 3 new planters.

The children have enjoyed replanting the bulbs and flowers from the old planters. We have some very keen gardeners in our class!
