Today, the children in Barcud Coch decided what they wanted to learn in each curriculum area for next term. They were given the title of ‘Out of this World!’ Here’s what they came up with.

The class have been looking into ‘Plastic Seas’ and ‘Clothing deserts’ this week. They have been thinking about why these are such serious situations and how we might reduce the pollution happening. They held group think tank discussions to share their findings.
Investigating forces in science
Everyone had a great time investigating: levers, pulleys, air resistance, water resistance and catapults in this hands on science afternoon!

We had a great time learning about cells through dance with the Impelo dance group.

Science - Investigating air resistance
We made parachutes then dropped them from a height. We saw how different types of parachutes effected the time it took to land.
Dance Workshop
We had a brilliant time at the dance workshop, throwing some funky moves!
Investigating spinners
On Monday 7th of March, in science, we thought about how to carry out a fair test. We discussed the variables which we needed to keep the same and one we would change. Our investigation was, ‘Does the weight of the spinner effect the time it takes to drop?’ Here we are investigating!
Dydd Gwyl Dewi Sant
On Friday 4th of March we celebrated Saint David’s day as well as our school’s Eisteddfod by making daffodils using a lovely but tricky paper folding technique. The final product was really affective.
