SCIENCE LESSON

Today we are reinforcing what we learnt about food groups last week and then using our knowledge to produce either a poster or a balanced meal plate

RED -healthy -eating- reading-comp SCIENCE

Read the information text and answer the questions. Next make a poster to promote healthy eating – you can use the computer to do this or draw your poster (maybe  add pictures you have cut out). Finally complete a paragraph to explain why eating fruit and vegetables is important for staying healthy.

BLUE healthy-eating-reading-comprehension

Read the information text and answer the questions. Next design a plate of food which shows a balanced meal, you can either draw and label the food or cut out pictures and stick them on. Underneath the plate write what the foods you have chosen provide for your body…… eg: Broccoli for vitamins and fibre to help up stay healthy and our body to get rid of waste. Finally write a shopping list of things you would need to buy from the supermarket to give you a balanced diet.
