Safer Internet Day!

For Internet Safety Day, Year 3 explored how to use technology responsibly, with a particular focus on understanding what is appropriate and inappropriate to use AI for. The children took part in thoughtful discussions about staying safe online, making sensible choices, and recognising when to ask an adult for help.

We also watched a BBC Live Lesson, which helped the children learn more about how AI works and how it can be used safely. Afterwards, the class began thinking about how they might design their own simple chatbot, considering what helpful and safe responses it should give.

Arch Deacon Visit

We were delighted to welcome Archdeacon Alan from the Brecon & Swansea Diocese to our school this week. During his visit, Archdeacon Alan spent time meeting members of staff and our Worship Council, and he was incredibly impressed by their enthusiasm and dedication. His encouragement and affirmation were truly uplifting for everyone involved.

Dragon Nests\Nythod Draig

Today, we were shocked to find dragon footprints in the corridor. We thought the dragons may need nests so they could lay their eggs. We did a fantastic job with our friends, building soft nests for the dragon eggs. Arbennig!

Sacred Texts

We looked at holy books and we thought of words to describe them. We also thought about questions that we would like to find out about these sacred texts. We talked about how the Bible is structured and why it is a best seller.

Belonging-Islam

Today, we learned that Muslims use special symbols to show they belong. We used flour to write ‘Allah” in Arabic. Bendigedig pawb!

Cinio Nadolig

Diolch to the ladies in the kitchen today that cooked a delicious Christmas lunch for us all. Roedd yn flasus!

Christingle

Well done to our Worship Council who joined Mike and Rev. Rachael to lead our Christingle service in church last week.
