Today, E-Safety Council led an assembly for the whole school. Pupils shared information about AI and how we can use it safely. Gwych pawb!

Aderyn Du, Cnoc Y coed and Jac Y Do were lucky to have a scientist come into school to complete some science lessons, based on magnets, light and sound. She is a training scientist from Montana in the USA, who is currently studying in Boston. We had lots of fun testing if objects were magnetic and drawing shadows.

Aderyn Du have carried out some air resistance science investigations as part of our Mantle work. We tested how far a piece of paper travels depending on the different shape. We discussed the different variables that affect how far it can travel. We also investigated how fast different items drop from a certain height. We found out that items that are streamline and heavier fall faster.

Maths in the last week of the summer term? Absolutely! But with a twist.
Use the given digits to create a division to solve using long division. If your answer is correct and meets the criteria you can sit out of the next calculation and play Uno instead! Some of the criteria: the largest answer, and even answer, a remainder that can be simplified, an even second digit etc!

As part of our community-based art project, we worked with Ciara and Izzy from Old School Arts to create a mural of birds flying over Knighton. Every learner in the school was involved in the project, from painting the mural to creating their own bird. This project followed our work from Refugee Week and the theme of ‘Community as a Superpower’ and that together we are strong, creative and make things happen.
