Celf a chrefft

These are some of our entries for the Urdd Arts and Crafts Eisteddfod. We have photography, jewellery, models, paintings, drawings and puppets! Da iawn bawb a phob lŵc!

Forest School

We have been back outside completing some Forest School sessions. This time it was about following the lead of the learners and seeing what they remembered from last time. Everyone remembered the Forest School rules, and the rules around using tools (a knife this time) were also remembered and demonstrated. Den building was a big hit, they used the pegs created by the knives to hold down the tarpaulin and looked at how to tie some different knots.

County Cross-Country

A massive well done to everyone that took part in the annual Powys Cross-Country. A very challenging course made even harder in the heat, with everyone competing showing great perseverance and support throughout the day. Da iawn pawb!

Crefft

Some of our pupils have been working on Celf a Chrefft entries for the Urdd Eisteddfod. Cutting, plaiting, threading and sewing skills have all been developed.

Gemau Iard

Today Mrs Cornelius came in to help Criw Cymraeg teach the rest of the school some yard games, in Welsh! Roedd e’n hwyl. It was fun!

Gemau Cymraeg\Welsh Games

Diolch am Criw Cymraeg a Mrs Cornelius for teaching us some Welsh yard games where we can practise our Welsh and have fun outside.

Forest School

The children worked really hard today in their forest school session; they worked as a team to collect everything that they needed to build our fire and they enjoyed a ‘healthy’ treat to round off the afternoon. Da iawn pawb!

Netball

We’ve had a fantastic time learning and improving on our netball skills with Mrs. Price, and also a visit from Nash from Sports Powys to prepare us for the Cluster Netball Tournament and help our bronze ambassadors deliver some sessions to other classes in the school.

Forest School

In today’s session we thought very carefully about ‘cynefin’ and our sense of belonging and some of the children decided to create a range of bug hotels for our local wildlife to seek sanctuary.
