Pupils in Reception and Year One had a great walk around Knighton collecting litter from the streets. We brought all the litter back to school to either bin, reuse or recycle.
What a fabulous end to half term celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee out on the playground. It was lovely for us to be able to come together after such a long time!
As you can see from the superb photos, we have had an amazing day at The Small Breeds Farm! Members of the public commented on how lovely and well-behaved our children were throughout the day! A brilliant day had by all.
We had a very exciting morning with Jemma incorporating dance into our topic of The Snail and the Whale. We have learned some new skills and I’m sure the children will be demonstrating these to you over the weekend.
We had a lovely afternoon at the library with Mrs Katie Evans learning British Sign Language. We learned how to express our feelings through signing. Ask the children at home if they can teach you the six signs we have learned today.
This afternoon we listened to the Christian creation story and worked with Mr Meredith to take photos of our natural environment. We then used our digital skills to create a digital book using our photos. These can be found on Hwb!
Foundation Phase were very excited to welcome Reverend Petra in today for our very first face to face assembly since COVID. We thoroughly enjoyed participating!
We have all had a lovely, enjoyable day doing Easter Activities – Easter egg hunt on the field, Easter cards and a fantastic Easter Bonnet parade around the school. All of the children’s entries for the Easter Bonnet Competition were outstanding!! Our winner is Rupert Davies, bendigedig!
