This morning we enjoyed a dance workshop with Emily. We practised our best dance moves , balancing and spins while keeping fit and healthy.

World Book Day 2026
After reading the story ‘Zog,’ we enjoyed a variety of different Zog related activities. One of which was Madam Dragon’s School for Dragons. Here we learned to breath fire, roar, fly, rescue and capture. All the dragons earned their gold stars! Arbennig pawb!
Safer Internet Day 2026-Exploring the safe and Responsible Use of AI
Today, E-Safety Council led an assembly for the whole school. Pupils shared information about AI and how we can use it safely. Gwych pawb!

We raised a fantastic £61 for St. Michael’s Hospice. Well done to everyone! Da iawn!
Cottage View Visit
Year One pupils visited Cottage View at Knighton Hospital and sang Christmas songs to their residents. We sang beautifully and the residents loved our performance. Da iawn pawb!
Royal Welsh show
We were kindly asked by some former members of staff to create some decorations for the Royal Welsh show, where they are Hostesses in the Sheep Tower. Some of our pupils are keen members of Young Farmers and/or farming enthusiasts so they were very happy to help out.
Planetarium Visit\Ymweliad Planetarium
Today, we had a planetarium visit from ‘Dark Skies’ at Elan Valley. We sat inside and were able to see the stars and planets. It was very exciting!
Hello Yellow!/Hello Melyn!
Today, we planned activities to make us smile and feel happy as part of Hello Yellow where we are thinking of children’s mental Health. Baking and fresh air with our friends!
Ein Cartref / Our Home
As part of our community-based art project, we worked with Ciara and Izzy from Old School Arts to create a mural of birds flying over Knighton. Every learner in the school was involved in the project, from painting the mural to creating their own bird. This project followed our work from Refugee Week and the theme of ‘Community as a Superpower’ and that together we are strong, creative and make things happen.
