This week, Year 3 have been taking part in a range of activities to support and celebrate Wellbeing Week. The children have enjoyed creating their own clay hearts, carefully shaping and decorating them to represent kindness, calmness, and the things that make them feel happy.
They also made โwellbeing clouds,โ each filled with positive words and phrases about themselves. This activity encouraged the children to think about their strengths, celebrate what makes them unique, and share uplifting messages with their classmates.

We enjoyed our trip to The Judgeโs Lodging in Presteigne. We tested and made beds for comfort, explored private apartments, and even pumped water in the Victorian kitchen. We dived into the โupstairs, downstairsโ lifestyle by discovering traditional games and toys scattered throughout the house. We experienced the vast, echoing courtroom and we stood in the very spot where historic trialsโsuch as that of local duck thief William Morgan once took place.
Aderyn Du, Cnoc Y coed and Jac Y Do were lucky to have a scientist come into school to complete some science lessons, based on magnets, light and sound. She is a training scientist from Montana in the USA, who is currently studying in Boston. We had lots of fun testing if objects were magnetic and drawing shadows.

We began by using our collaborative skills to create a dragon. Let me introduce…. Bungalow Snowflake, Princess Tooty, Rainbow, Scary Jingles and Jolly Rainbow.
