We have been very busy getting ready for our Christmas Fayre. Everyone has been working hard to start making our special crafts. One of the things we have been creating is decorated bottles.
As part of Children in Need day our focus was on ‘challenge’. We completed various challenges such as physical, strictly 25 step cha cha cha, and baking cupcakes without any adult help! Bendigedig pawb!
Children engaged in a creative project to commemorate Remembrance Day by producing beautiful poppy-themed artwork. Using a variety of materials and techniques they produces some beautiful pieces of work. Da iawn!
We had a visit from Powys Teaching Health Board who carried out a handwashing workshop with us. We looked at the impact a sneeze can have, and how far it can travel. We also looked at the importance of washing your hands correctly.
As part of Hello Yellow Day, we looked at different emotions and positive words to describe ourselves. We decorated biscuits with faces, and created some beautiful pieces of artwork. Da iawn pawb!
Following our work on investigating circuits, we had a look at what materials were conductors and insulators of electricity. We thoroughly enjoyed this!
We were lucky enough to receive a visit from Elan Valley Trust. We learnt about the Elan Valley International Dark Sky Park and the Problem with Light Pollution, and A solar system tour. Children thoroughly enjoyed and learnt lots!
Year 3 and 4 had a great morning celebrating a day of โAustraliaโ. We baked some lamington cakes, made boomerangs, painted didgeridoos and created some Australia artwork. They all had a fabulous time.
