A day to show young people they are not alone with their mental health, so we spent the day doing things that boost our well-being!
We started with our class assembly (which did give some a nervous feeling) and then parents joined us in class to sit with their child and look at what they have achieved so far this term.
Pupils then spent some time watching videos of themselves from when they were younger. After break we had a games session…UNO, Twister, Jenga, Dobble or colouring in. Quality time with friends, away from screens! Lunch was followed by paining and some games outside!
We have set up our own ‘YouTube’ channel called The Curiosity Channel, where viewers can write in with any of their scientific questions and we will try to create an explainer video to help them understand the answer to their question. The class have worked hard to write an introductory script, created a logo and a tune for the show. They have used Abode to put all of these elements together for our first video. Since sharing the video on our channel (on Hwb) we have been asked a question about electrical circuits. Can we help?
Maths in the last week of the summer term? Absolutely! But with a twist.
Use the given digits to create a division to solve using long division. If your answer is correct and meets the criteria you can sit out of the next calculation and play Uno instead! Some of the criteria: the largest answer, and even answer, a remainder that can be simplified, an even second digit etc!
