We followed instructions in Welsh to make our own paper boats. We floated the boats and estimated how many unifix blocks it would take to sink the boat. We recorded our results on a table.

John Meredith
Yesterday we welcomed John Meredith back to our school to work with children in years 1,5 and 6. He worked with children on two activities; discussing religious values and ethics through art and creating a video depicting the Creation Story.

Easter Hunt & Bonnet Parade
We enjoyed a day of Easter fun! We made cards, went on an Easter egg hunt and we had a Easter bonnet parade. Many thanks to Vicki James for judging the bonnets and to all the children for working so hard making them.
Congratulations to Ieuan for winning the scavenger hunt and Henri for winning the bonnet competition.
Well-being Wednesday!
Children enjoyed their well-being Wednesday. They looked at the eat well guide at a ‘balanced’ diet, sorted foods into their food groups and they made a variety of healthy snacks which they enjoyed eating during amser snac.
Fire Service
We were visited by Mark and Angela from Mid and West Wales fire Service. We shared a story, discussed fire hazards and looked at the importance of servicing and checking our fire alarms.
The Easter Story
We have been looking at the Easter story and choosing parts that we think are happy and parts that we think are sad.
Our Victorian Museum
Mrs Wood bought in some Victorian artefacts to look at. We were then commissioned to create our own models of the artefacts and research information about them to put in our class museum.
Our William Morris inspired Artwork
We created our own blocks to make repeated patterns in the style of Victorian Artist William Morris.
