Supporting Sports Relief!

We had a lovely afternoon over at the Pavilion.   The children enjoyed working with their school family doing a variety of sports activities.

Our Paul Klee inspired artwork

We looked at the artist Paul Klee. He used bright colours and different shapes to create his artwork.  We were able to talk about the colours and the shapes we used using Welsh.

Celebrating World Book Day

We enjoyed sharing our favourite books with our family reading ‘buddies’
We looked at the story ‘The Journey’  we used the pictures to discuss what the book was about before we read it.
We discussed and noted down what we noticed from the picture.
We shared these ideas as a class.
We looked at some of the ‘tricky’ vocabulary from the story and we played ‘bingo’ using those words.
We thought of alternative words for some of the vocabulary in the story.

Shrove Tuesday

We enjoyed making pancakes whilst investigating fractions.  We cut our pancakes into halves and quarters.

Many thanks to Mrs Wood and Mrs Evans for spending the afternoon cooking the delicious pancakes!

Safer Internet Day

We have completed a range of exciting and engaging activities as part of our ‘Safer Internet Day’.

We started off the day discussing ‘identity’ and completing an activity about our identity and the things that make us special and unique.

We welcomed PC Ainsworth who talked to us about online safety.

We read an interesting story called ‘Digiduck’s Famous Friend’ which demonstrated in a safe and interesting way, that people online may not always be who they say they are, and that ‘friends’ made solely online are still strangers.

We also we talked about online activities that make pupils happy.
