Autumn Term 2017 – Parent/Carer Information Sheet for Hwyaid Bach & Gwdihw

Welcome back after Summer! We hope you have all enjoyed a lovely Holiday!

This term we have got an exciting new topic, ‘Fighting Fit.’ We will be studying a range of themes through this topic including: Fire fighters, Police, Nurses, Dentist, Opticians, Feelings and Ourselves.

Important things to remember

Please label all of your child’s clothes – uniform, coats, P.E. kits, book bags and wellies.

Please be aware that we do have a child with a severe nut allergy, therefore please do not send any product containing nuts into school. Thank you.

All children now need a water bottle in school every day.

Tuesday: Swimming kit (all children)

Thursday: Change home readers and test spellings

Thursday: P.E. kit (all children)

Please could you read with your child as regularly as possible and write a comment in their yellow book. As children in reception start spellings and minute maths we will be changing home readers once a week.

As we are a Healthy School, we encourage the children to bring in a piece of fruit for their morning break. It is also possible to buy bananas and apples from Sarah in the office for 30p. Please note that only fresh fruit or raisins/sultanas can be eaten at break time.

If there is anything you would like to discuss with us then please feel free to make an appointment at the office. We are always happy to help.

Thank you for your support.

Miss S Davies, Mrs R Drakeford, Mrs E Wozencraft, Miss M Evans and Mrs Bywater.
